Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of workers who develop and facilitate programs for young people through a range of community-based programs designed to address the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of young people.

Work may be in community, government and youth sector agencies and largely self-directed with fairly autonomous decision-making capacity under the indirect supervision of a manager.

Under the guidance of professional trainers with extensive practical experience, develop foundation skills and knowledge to:

Develop your knowledge in preparation for working in community-based organisations, withdrawal services, residential rehabilitation services and outreach services under the guidance of other practitioners and professionals.
