Women's Leadership Course

This course is for Women who may want to become mentors and who would benefit from developing skills to enable them to more actively engage in Australian communities.

This course is designed to;

  • Improve skills and prepare learners for job employment opportunities and further education.
  • Understand concepts such as Multiculturalism, diversity, social inclusion and Women's rights/Human rights
  • Develop skills in self-awareness, assertiveness, leadership, communication and teamwork.
  • Explore methods of working with community groups, local government and within projects
  • How to build partnerships effectively and manage tasks in collaboration with others
  • Understanding funding grant requirements
  • Develop Lobbying and advocacy skills to become a Mentor for others
  • Understand basic Australian Small Business management practices/requirements.
  • Understand the skills required for public speaking
  • Develop an understanding of employment pathway opportunities for women in Australia

Learners will receive verbal acknowledgement throughout the course and will be presented with a Learn Local certificate of Participation in Women's Leadership on completion.
