Pakenham Community Pantry

About the Community Pantry

The Pakenham Community Pantry aims to provide irregular and temporary food relief to the Pakenham and surrounding communities. It is a free, no-questions-asked service for people who need a meal during difficult times. Please come and help yourself to whatever you need that is available.

The Pantry is unfunded. It relies on the generosity of individuals and community/business organisations to provide stock. There may be times when the Pantry is bare and others when it is abundant.

The Pantry motto is

The Pantry is located under cover on the deck near the entry doors at 6B Henry Street, Pakenham. It is accessible 24/7 and no appointment is necessary.

There is a freezer inside the building which is often stocked with commercial grade pre-prepared frozen meals. The freezer is only accessible during opening hours.

The Pantry could not operate without the generous contributions of individuals and community-minded businesses and organisations. If you would like to donate to the pantry, you can:

  • Drop off goods at any time, directly into the pantry. (Please see the panel for sought-after items)
  • Drop into the Centre during opening hours to leave a cash or card donation
  • Complete the Donation Form (and indicate you’d like your donation to go towards the Pantry)

Thank you for supporting our community via your pantry donation.
