English as an Additional Language (EAL) Classroom Support

This rewarding, voluntary role supports our English language learners in the classroom. Classroom Support Volunteers help the classroom teacher with one-to-one support, small group work or just an extra pair of hands in the classroom, assisting learners with reading, writing, speaking and listening needs.
Classroom Support volunteers engage with people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with mild disabilities and people with limited education.
Relevant past experience working within the education sector would be helpful but not essential. Great communication skills and patience will be your greatest asset.

Community Garden
Our Community Garden is run by friendly volunteers from our local community. Our volunteers work together, under the direction of our Garden Co-ordinator, to develop and maintain the Community Garden.
The group meets twice a week (Monday and Friday morning) and works on various projects and maintenance within the garden,
It’s a great way to meet others, share skills and get outdoors.
